Holts Gems

Website Update and implementation.

The redesign of the Holts Gems website was aimed to both improve the visual appearance of the site and to add functionality  - improving the user experience throughout. One of the criteria was to make the site more feminine. Some of the things that have been done are:

• Rotating images with transitions on the home page using JQuery
• Wider range of products on the site with better images
• Facility for multiple thumbnails for each image
• Zoom function on product images
• Shopping basket added to the site
• PPC landing pages for long tail gemstones only available from Holts
• Targeted (subject and geography) PPC campaign
• Virtual showroom experience using PhotoSynth

Website and desktop application

A site featuring a time/management software that automatically logs the time you spend on documents and within applications during your working day. The home page features a Silverlight 2 animation as a fun, visual interpretation of how the software tracks your activity. The system comprises of a desktop application that sits in your taskbar and monitors what is going on. The app can be used to manage how the time is allocated an to create rules that automatically allocate time. The web interface gives analysis on the time spen through tables and charts.

Holts Academy came to us when thir website had collapsed. NettMore was able to recover some of the content from the database to give a starting point. From there, the easy to use CMS and a custom upload feature allows content and course date listings to be mainteined easily.

NettMore built an extensive content-managed website for Guillemont Junior School. The visual design was based upon the school's mission statement and the physical architectural design of the school's building and important outdoor areas, all reflective of the school's teaching philosophy. A range of banners were designed and built containing images that encapsulate the various aspects of school life. These different banners can be selected and applied to the site layout via the content tool. A custom AJAX gallery allows the school to "throw" lots of images at the web server (using FTP) so that they can be displayed automatically as a gallery - the thumbnails and main images are automatically created when the page is next visited, and then the list delivered through AJAX - no delay to deliver the page and a fantastic gallery.

A customer of NettMore, Holts Lapidary of Hatton Garden offer jewelery and objets d'art including bespoke design. Holts were looking for a re-design of their existing site that would accompany a re-work of the site content. NettMore built an extensive content-managed ASP.NET site to allow Holts a high degree of freedom when editing and updating the site content.Using a design that complemented Holts' newly refurbished shop, with particular focus on incorporating the look and feel of their unique shop front. The site design had to be robust so as to allow for a high level of content change driven by the customer.

A contact within Microsoft realised the the SalesForce experience within NettMore could be harnessed to produce a tool that could take the data from SalesForce and transfers it to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. CRMMigrate was born! It's a simple, risk free way to transfer data. It uses webservices and CSV files to transfer the data, and is extremely cost effective.

A customer of NettMore, Holts Diamonds of Hatton Garden offer diamond jewelery. Holts Diamonds were looking for a re-design of their existing ecommerce site that would accompany a re-work of the site content. The design was to reflect that of Holts Lapidiary', to create almost a reversed effect more in keeping with the reflective quality of the diamond products. Of specific interest were the diamond selection and ring building controls which use a combination of postbacks and AJAX to give the user a representation of the item being constructed. The "data" for the ringbuilder is automatically generated by a back office diamond management system and uploaded as an excel spreadsheet. Images for the mounts are also automatically processed.

A Windows mobile  application that tracks you path as you walk using GPS. The path can be documented with photographs - to show the scenery and to help navigate, and then all this can be shared with others using the GPSWalk website.

Denefield School, a customer of NettMore, required a content-managed website. Wit hthe features that NettMore  was able to build into the site, Denefield have been able to move their entire intranet on to the site and save $3000 per year in hosting costs. The site also includes

• A PC fault reporting system
• An automated slidshow feature for uploaded photographs
• A maintenance reporting system to allow staff to log problems for maintenance staff
• A secure area for governors to acces information
