Supplier Communication
Scenario
You want to communicate with your supplier so that you can: Place your orders electronically; Allow them to book delivery times; Receive invoices electronically; Know current supplier stock levels; Communicate complaints or faults.
Solution
The solution to each of these problems is unique but will probably use tools like: Edi, XML communication, Web service, Extranets. A lot depends on the relationship with the supplier (you define the protocol) or whether you're using an existing supplier interface.
